Catchment area
Before filling out a registration form, check you are in our catchment area.
You can also find out which GPs you can register with on the NHS website.
Registering with the surgery
To register with the surgery:
When you register, it’s helpful to have your NHS number. You can use the NHS website to find your NHS number.
Out of area patients
You may be a patient that currently does not live within the practice area, which means you may not be able to access the care that you need. For example:
- We are not able to visit you at home for your care. If you need a home visit, you will be asked to contact 111 to speak to a medical advisor who will arrange a home visit for you if it is needed.
- You may not be able to access community care services in your home.
- You will not be able to access urgent care from us and if you contact us for this reason, you will be asked to attend a local urgent treatment centre or call 111.
What you can do next
You can find a GP practice nearer to where you live. You can use the website Find a GP – NHS to find a nearer GP Practice and ask them to register you as a patient. You will then be taken off our practice list and you will be able to access care closer to where you live.
What happens now
If you chose to register with another GP practice, you do not need to tell us as we will be told from your new provider.
If you chose to stay with us as your GP practice and need more care than we can offer you, you may be asked to find a GP closer to where you live.
